本来,「音楽を聴く」という行為は,あくまでも主観的な行為である。しかし音楽科教育では,集団授業で同じ音楽を聴き,音楽への理解を深めさせようとしてきた。しかし,そのような鑑賞教育が,本当に「音楽を聴く力」を育んできたのであろうか。 In essence, the act of listening to music is purely subjective. However, in music education, the aim has been to have groups of students listen to the same music and deepen their understanding of music. However, is this kind of “appreciation education” really cultivating “the ability to listen to music?” In this study, I started by surveying the first draft of the course of study to elementary school from 1947 to the ninth edition of the course of study, which was revised in 2017, clarifying how “appreciation education” in the subject of music has been handled so far. In the course of study, “appreciation” has consistently been included in the subject of music. Starting with the second edition in 1951, appreciation activities have focused on a range of musical elements. However, we must ask whether connecting sensory impressions to pre-selected elements and expressing these impressions in words, as is currently done in appreciation education in music, can help cultivate the ability to listen to music. |
