グローバル化社会の中で，知識や意見を英語で発信する必要性が日に日に高まっている．そこで，本学においても，講義を通して，英語プレゼンテーション能力の育成が図られている．しかし，本学学生がプレゼンテーションに対して大きな不安を抱えていることが推測できる．本稿では，福山市立大学の学生が持つ，プレゼンテーション不安の解消方策について検討することを目的とする．そこで，質問紙調査，その中でも特に，自由記述回答を分析の対象にする．
その結果，相対する者が英語で早口で話す場合や英文を書く際に，学生が不安を感じることがわかった．また，学生は，プレゼンテーション時には，緊張し，聞き手に通じないかのではと不安になっていた．一方で，相手が良い反応をした場合や聞き手に通じた場合に嬉しいという気持ちを持っていた．さらに，学生は，他の学生のプレゼンテーションを聞くことが勉強になった，プレゼンテーションは今後の勉学や将来の仕事に有意義である，と答えた．自由回答記述からは，「不安に対する方策」「伝える気持ちが大切であること」「難しい英語を使わず，プレゼンテーションを楽しむこと」「自分主体であること」「自信を持つこと」という５つのカテゴリーが得られた．本研究により，今後のプレゼンテーション授業における有益な示唆が得られた．

In a globalized society, there is an increasing need for sharing knowledge and giving opinions in English. Therefore, Fukuyama City University is providing lectures to enhance students’ English presentation skills. Students are required to show good speaking skills during presentations. We assume that students have strong foreign language anxieties. The purpose of this paper is to look at ways of alleviating presentation anxiety for Fukuyama City University students. This　paper analyzes survey results, especially open-ended questions about advice for other students.
The results showed that students have anxiety when the other person speaks quickly or when they write English　sentences. They also felt nervous and anxious when they were not understood during presentations. On the other hand,students felt happy when the audience showed a positive response or when the audience understood their presentations.Moreover, students learned a lot of things from other students’ presentations. They also considered that making presen-tation is good for future study or work. From open-ended questions, 5 categories were formed; the way to cope with anxieties, the importance of a communicative attitude, using plain English and enjoying presentations, being yourself and having confidence. This paper will provide useful suggestions for future presentation lectures.
