This report explains the process of the music outreach programs. This includes a summary of
the “public music hall activation project” organized by the Japan Foundation for Regional art, and
practical report on an experimentation of music outreach programs applied in the city of Tagajo
in January 2011. This paper explains the procedure for preparing music outreach programs for
community groups, senior care homes, elementary schools and how to prepare for a recital. A
musician’s view of the music outreach programs, is also included.
