Based on the first report, this is to be the first stage to study the most functional design of nurse uniforms. Carefully observing the movement of a nurse's bust, waist, hip and trunk while she is working, how mush margin must be added to the up-right or sedentary forms is the purpose of this research. It is necessary to give the stand-still design some device for the maximum movement. The following improvements have been made for this purpose: 1. A perpendicular pleat was made on either side of the back. 2. Somewhat loose design was used for the bust, waist, and hip, and for the front part. The Japanese kimono style double breasted design was used to be fitted for any size of the torso of the wearer. 3. Between the body of the garment and the underside of the sleeve, an extra piece of cloth was inserted for the easier movement of the arm.
