I have collected the documentations of childbirth experiences at the remoted islands in Setonaikai. In old age, childbirth was the labor of women themselves. Nowadays, they give birth to a child at a modern hospital. There, childbirth is the labor of doctors. However, so far as childbirth is concerned, it is women who are specialists. However, the experiences of women are neglected. Childbirth as women's labor is influenced by social back-ground. I reserch how the change of social back-ground influence the ways of childbirth in this study. I found the transition of position when they gave birth is the good index of this reserch. In the remoted islands, it is easy to make clear this index. So, I make a comparative study of three remoted islands.
