The Fukuda's stepping test faithfully reflects the existing status of the vestibulospinal reflex, and is one of the most reliable vestibular function tests. Subjects of the studies were 13 members of Semba's seminar and 95 volunteers of stuffs, students and their families. They were all well-conditioned and had not any troubles on their vestibular functions. Following results were obtanied: 1) On the direction of displacement, 10 subjects among 13 members moved a head, 2 subjects fell back from the starting point. One subject showed a locus of rotating movement. 2) On the distance of displacement, 85% of students were within one meter. Among 107 volunteers, 71 subjects were within one meter, that is 66% of subjects. The distance of deviation had a tendency to augment by aging. That of 60-80 years old was constantly larger than that of 50-20 years old. 3) On the angle of displacement, 41% of the subjects were within 30° and 58% were beyond over 30°. 4) On the angle of rotation, the subjects who moved a head were 49.3°, the subjects, who fell back from the starting point indicated 54.9°. One of the subjects of rotating movement indicated 159° of the rotation angle.
