In order to study the relationship between grip strength and occlusal pressure, these two parameter were measured in 63 women's college students. Occlusal pressure was measured by gnathodynamometer. The grip strength of each subject was measured by means of Smedly hand dynamometer. 1. Mean grip strength of students was 29.55 kg (SD. 4.31 kg) under opened mouth condition. 2. Mean grip strength of students was 30.11 kg (SD. 4.59 kg) under occlusal of mouth. 3. Mean occlusal pressure was 21.61 kg (SD. 11.09 kg). The result make it clear, occlusal pressure and grip strength show comparatively strong correlation and produce similar values.
