This is the third paper on the speech style of adolescents. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between social skills and the speech style or the rule of polite speech in interpersonal communication. Results show that evaluation apprehension skill is related to the adolescents' speech style and the rule of polite speech to the elders, and most of adolescents who have evaluation apprehension skill have rule of polite speech to the elders and speak to them politely. The speech style of adolescents was also discussed referring to two previous studies.
