In April, 1991, the name of the former Faculty of Food and Nutrition was changed into Faculty of Science for Living and its curricula were also revised substantially. Exercises in cookery were started with new contents of education focussing on studies of science for living and by taking into consideration changes of social conditions. A great majority of students who had ever scarcely had experiences of exchange with foreigners looked forward to exercises of international exchange and achieved deep mental understanding with the school mutually as human beings by communicating with her. This practice gave them opportunities to make a great discovery of unknown cultures and increase international understanding. Thus, they recognize that international exchange is necessary as a course of their future life. In providing instruction, we will put emphasis on making the base of students' wide-ranging culture and scientific knowledge and continue research to make curricula and lessons more charming for students by making efforts to diversify acess to college education and ralize flexible manners of learning.
