In order to investigate the color emotional space showing the color emotional effect I used SD method. In the former investigations 66 colors--strong--weak, beautiful--ugly and clear--obscure ?were used. This time I selected 3 degrees of 10 colors-- warm--cold, strong--weak and beautiful--ugly. The result was nearly the same. As the bases were the impressions using square pieces of colored papers they were nearly the same, presume. But if I used pieces of cloth or things of different shapes the result would have been quite different influenced by the material, the size of the samples and the things plane or solid. For the impression of the simple color the experience of an individual person would be included. The bigger the color emotional space is the broader would be the image. If the samples were small everyone would have nearly the same image. Thus the positions of representative 10 colors would be made clear. In clothes modeling we do not use simple hues only, but if you recognize basic simple hues well you will have basic ideas to consider the basic color, assorted color or accented color.
