本研究の目的は高齢者のGenerativity における「関心」の特質を検証し，Generativity が高齢者の生活にどのような影響を与えているかを明らかにすることである。A 地域在住高齢者276名を対象に，丸島のGCS-R（世代性関心尺度）を用いて調査し，探索的因子分析を行った結果，高齢者の世代性への関心の下位概念として３因子15項目が抽出された（創造性，α＝.89，世代継承性，α＝.74，積極性，α＝.68）。なお，確認的因子分析においても容認できる適合度が示された。その後，高齢者の世代性への関心概念を潜在変数として心理社会的要因との間で，共分散構造分析を行った結果，モデルの適合度は許容できる範囲であった。高齢者のGenerativity は他者との交流から影響を受け，世代性関心を介在して高齢者のスピリチュアリティ健康感，孤独感，自己効力感，自尊感情に影響し，更にそれらを通して，生活満足度に影響を及ぼすことが明らかとなった。

The purpose of this research is to clearly show what kind of influence generativity has on the life of　senior citizens by verifying their characteristic of“ concern” in generativity. A survey was made of 276 senior　citizens in the local community using Marushima’s GCS-R (Generativity Concern Scale). As a result of exploratory　factor analysis, 15 items relating to 3 factors (creativity, α=.89, maintaining, α=.74, positivity, α=.68) were　extracted as the generativity concern concept of senior citizens. In a confirmatory factor analysis, the　admissible goodness of fit was also shown. Subsequently, as a result of performing a covariance characteristic　of psychosocial factors with senior citizen’s generativity concern as a latent variable, the goodness of fit of the　hypothetical model was found to be within permissible range. The generativity of senior citizens, due to　exchanges with other people, was affected by their degree of spiritual health, feelings of loneliness, selfefficiency,and self-respect, and due to these factors, also by their degree of satisfaction in life.
