Summary
It has been a health problem that the metabolic syndrome is increasing in Japan, recently.
In this study, we survey the caloric intake conditions of an older man who was diagnosed as the reserve of metabolic syndrome because his waist was more than 85 cm and the abnormality of fat metabolism in order to carry out nutritional support for him in near future.
We used the photographic dietary assessment for the survey and the subject was instructed to take pictures of his diets（ all diets without water） in separated two days includes both week day and holiday.
For the estimation of caloric intake, we used exclusive software.
As a result, we observed the lower intake of fat, vitamin B2 and the energetic ratio of grains, whereas the higher intake of salt, sweets/luxury drinks.
However, there was some problems such as methodology or the validity of standard in this survey, so we need to advise with the follow-up observations.
