Today, Friedrich Fröbel (Fr. Fröbel, 1782-1852) is considered to be the father of “kindergarten” all over the world. This attribution comes from that Fröbel founded "Allgemeinen Deutschen Kindergarten－Stiftung," (German general kindergarten foundation) in the city hall of Bad Blankenburg on June 28, 1840.

Therefore, on June 28th of this year, the idea or concept of "kindergarten" will reach its 175th anniversary. A memorial festival was held in the grand hall of the same city hall where the foundation was established on June 28, 1840.

Commemorative lectures by Helmut, Heiland (Vice-President International Fröbel's Society), and a keynote lecture by Karl Neumann (President Pestalozzi - Fröbel's Union of Germany) were given on June 29.
