The purpose of this study was to investigate the conceptions of learning in physical education (PE) among students in a PE teacher training course. In addition, the relationship between their conceptions of learning in PE and teaching aspirations was examined. As a result, the following three points were clarified. First, students attending the course have accumulated learning of PE and have had a positive impression of PE classes; therefore, they should have higher scores than junior high school students on their conceptions of learning in PE. Then, students in teacher training should be more likely to recognize PE as a subject that they have studied in junior high and high school. Finally, students who are highly motivated to become PE teachers should be more likely to have conceptions of communication skills and knowledge about the body and physical exercise compared to other students.
