Interactive activity has been performed in depopulated areas.　But it should be distinguished from tourism.　Tourism contributes to economic development.　Interactive activity contributes to activation of a heart.　In this article, I clarify　significance and problem of the interactive activity utilizing important preservation districts of groups of historic buildings, by case study of Hagi, Kasashima and Mitarai. The following points mainly became clear. Primarily, These districts are cultural assets, and are used for activation of community. Second, tourism is made up for by interactive activity in Hagi. Third,by interactive activity the heart of inhanbitants becomes active in Kasashima and Mitarai. Last,however,the sustainability of comminity is put in the critical situation in Kasashima and Mitarai. Therefore, the next problem is how good circle of interactive activity and community development is made, and it is important that network of interactive activity is reinforced.
