This example is sufficiently flexible to encompass models with any number of types. In the example the unemployed type 3 workers do not have a comparative advantage in either industrial or non-industrial sector. However, it is clear that for sufficiently small decreases in r3, the nature of the equilibrium is not change: the type three workers remain the least likely to be employed in the industrial sector, even though they would now have a comparative advantage in industrial employment. Thus, as we saw in this paper, with informational asymmetries, the market equilibrium may be inefficient in two respects: both the quantity of labor and distribution of types of workers allocated to the industrial sector may be suboptimal.
