The questionnaire survey of enterprises which have acquired ISO 14001 certification in Hiroshima Prefecture is executed in order to analyze the way of acquiring the attestation，the present conditions of the environmental management system and possible future problems. A lot of organizations which have acquired the certification think that environmental preservation activities are important，and also the environmental burden is small when compared with other companies. It is necessary for organizations to acquire the attestation of ISO 14001 and to make an effort to reduce in the environmental burden. It will be indispensable for organizations to acquire the attestation by the request or estimate (tender)，etc. from the customer.
