Some of local administrations in mountainous areas become tried to send for older people the information concerning the social welfare and other administration through a computer network. In order to accomplish those trials，older people are required the ability to operate a computer. Therefore，the objectives of this study is to discuss on the support for older people using a computer，the actual conditions of their operating performance and the problem when using it through analysis on their computer literacy in mountainous areas. We could find out the methods for guidance to operate a computer to them，temporal change of their attitude of a computer，desirable information contents for them and so on.
