The purpose of this paper is to discuss a usage of the technical term “Taiseika” in Sense Making Theory. “Taiseika” does not mean “Organization” which is often translated “Taiseika” in Japanese in the area of sociology and psychology. The usage of “Taiseika” in this theory does not fit in the traditional usage. In Sense Making Theory，a process view of conversational process is adopted，that is a conversation should be defined as a two-way collaborative process，and the linguistic unit of conversation is a fragmentary and meaningful chunk. This theory attempts to explain a grammar of “ordinary language”. A communicative process normally involves repairs of some segments，which makes the ongoing sense-making process. This process is an inner process of a speaker and a hearer. So the situations in mind structured with chunks，which are results of sense-making，are two entirely different things between a speaker and a hearer. We can，however，communicate each other freely without being bothered by the constraint of this difference. Sociological explanation is needed here to solve this paradoxical problem in the relation of the use of the technical term “Taiseika”.
