Abstract

Reading music is essential for elementary-level piano learners ages five to seven.
“Keyboard corresponding card” which enable learners to read music easier has been developed and
applied to a musical education in “Lemie Music Academy”. “Keyboard corresponding card” is an
innovative teaching material that learners can understand instantly the positional relationship between
the keyboard and the grand staff of the piano.
Effective practical use of keyboard corresponding cards is also introduced. This study found that
by leveraging the “Keyboard corresponding cards” to the learner, a high learning effect can be obtained.
Educational method with these teaching materials should be called “Lemie Method”.
