A Study on Learning Contents of Junior- and Senior-High Schools Science —Focusing on the Description about Disaster Prevention in Textbooks—
We have analyzed description about disaster prevention and reduction in science textbooks both of junior- and senior- high schools, focusing mainly on“ self-help”,“ mutual- help" and“ public help". From the reflection of responses for heavy disasters which frequently took place in Japan, it is required to learn and acquire the knowledge upon important roles of those three“ helps" respectively as well as those cooperation particularly in the case of encountering disaster. After the analysis, it is clarified that description quantities about both self- and public helps are high, however the description of both limitation of the public help and the cooperation of them is rare. For the problem,future improvement is expected.
