目的：このシステマティックレビューは、肩峰下インピンジメント症候群(SIS)による疼痛，関節可動域，筋力および患者立脚型包括的機能評価に対する徒手理学療法と運動療法の併用療法の有効性について検討することであった。
データソース：4つの電子データベースにより、“(shoulder pain [Mesh]) OR (subacromial pain) OR(shoulder impingement) AND (exercise therapy) AND (exercise)”　の式で検索した。対象となった研究から特性を抽出し、バイアスのリスクについて評価した。
結果：6つの文献が適格基準に合致した。介入部位は肩関節が3編、頸胸椎が2編、両者が1編であった。
徒手理学療法と運動療法の併用により疼痛・関節可動域　(肩関節外転、外旋、内旋)・筋力　(肩関節外転、外旋、内旋)・患者立脚型包括的機能評価の項目で治療効果が得られた。しかし、この結果は限られた条件　(疼痛持続時間や徒手理学療法の治療内容)　でのみ治療効果が得られ、実際に役立つ具体的な提案はできなかった。
結論：本レビューでは、SISに対する徒手理学療法と運動療法の併用療法の有効性において、部分的にしか根拠は得られなかった。徒手理学療法と運動療法の併用による効果を得るためには、疼痛発症から早期に理学療法介入を行うこと、患者個々の検査・測定からの評価に基づきテイラーメイド治療を行うことが重要であることが示唆された。

Objective: This Systematic Review was to determine that combination of manual therapy and therapeutic exercise was effective in treating pain, range of motion, muscle strength, and patient- reported outcomes in patients with subacromial impingement syndrome (SIS).
Data sources: Four electronic databases were searched using keywords describing “(shoulder pain [Mesh]) OR (subacromial pain) OR (shoulder impingement) AND (exercise therapy) AND (exercise)”. Relevant characteristics of included studies were extracted and assessed for risk of bias.
Results: Six articles were deemed eligible. The intervention sites were the shoulder joint in three articles, cervicothoracic spine in two, and both in one. The combination of manual therapy and therapeutic exercise showed therapeutic effects in terms of pain, joint range of motion　(shoulder abduction, external rotation, and internal rotation), muscle strength (shoulder abduction, external rotation, and internal rotation), and patient-reported included functional assessment. However, the results were only effective in a limited number of conditions (pain duration and manual therapy treatment content) and did not provide concrete suggestions for practical use.
Conclusion: This review found only partial evidence in the effectiveness of combined manual therapy and therapeutic exercise for SIS. It was suggested that it is important to perform physical therapy intervention early from the onset of pain and to provide tailor-made treatment based on the evaluation of individual patients in order to obtain the effect of the combination of manual therapy and therapeutic exercise.
