Abstract

To develop MRI contrast agents targeting to sugars, a ligand which introduced boric acids into diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid(DTPA) frame as the binding sites was synthesized. After converting the ligand into the Gd complex, the T1 relaxivity was measured using polysaccharide or gelatin gel phantoms. Consequently, the Gd complex having boric acids shows a larger relaxivity to the polysaccharide gel compared with those of Gd-DAPA.
