Experiments of Monte Carlo methods in the Daihinmin game
This paper applies the Monte Carlo method to a multiplayer game with imperfect information and examines the effectiveness. The Monte Carlo method is employed for search, since multiplayer imperfect information games have enormous search space. The effectiveness of the Monte Carlo method depends on the strength of each player during play-out. In order to improve the ability of Monte Carlo methods, rule-based selection is added to random selection during play-out. Experiments are conducted to check whether the rule-based selection is effectives.
