Modified Extremal Optimization for Optimal Protein Structure Alignment
Extracting similar three-dimentional structures between proteins is one of the most important challenges for bioinformatics. The protein structure alignment is one of the most effective methods to extract similar three-dimentional structures of two proteins, and CMO(Contact Map Overlap) is formulated as a combinational optimization for the protein structure alignment. In this paper, we propose a novel heuristic for CMO problem using Modified-EO.
