Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the effectiveness of a computer-assisted English training course.
Using the scores of the TOEIC tests administered before and after the course,t he author examined the participants' performance and the relationship between the participants' TOEIC gains and their study time and workload. The findings indicated that the longer the study time and the greater the study workload,the more TOEIC gains were achieved. The author also discussed why the TOEIC gains from the fall semester were very small.
