Abstract

Recently many methods are proposed for behavior acquisition of agents using Genetic Algorithm(GA), Genetic Programming(GP), and Genetic Network Programming(GNP). Especially, methods using GNP have shown good performance. Also, methods that improve GNP are proposed such as GNP with control nodes(GNPCN) and GNPCN using multiple networks(GNPCM). We propose a method to improve GNPCM introducing the effective network. The efficient network is a network that consists of nodes reached from a control node. We show effectiveness of our method by applying to a garbage collector problem.
