Recently, the mobile phone industry has been developing rapidly. In this reserch, we have been investigating the use of mobile phone among japanese University students. Similarly, we have compared the use of mobile phones among Japanese University students with the use of mobile phines among Korean University students. As a result of our research, the mobile phone is purchased for three major factors (its functionaluty, design and usability). Especially, there is a greater use of function for Internet and e-male in Japan, while most Korean students have been hoping to improve its function. Also, it has been illustrated that students in both countries have been seeking new functions and services which may be better than the current function and service.
