In the 82nd General Meeting of the Central Council for Education held on August 28, 2012, a report entitled ‘Qualitative Change of College Education for Constructing a New Future –Towards Colleges and Universities Where We Learn All Our Life and Master Our Ability to Think’ was published.　With this announcement many colleges and universities have begun to use the phrases like ‘ 学修時間 ’ and ‘ 学修支援 ’ instead of ‘ 学習時間 ’ and ‘ 学習支援 ’.　
What we are concerned here is whether some differences in use between ‘ 学習– noun ’ and ‘ 学修– noun ’ are observed before and after the report of the Central Council for Education (August 28, 2012) was announced
