Abstract

The purpose of this study, the fourth report of a continuing research, is to clarify the educational effects that students have gained universally through the Christian education program as a measure to obtain suggestions about the possible role of education based on the principles of Christianity may have on the growth of an active learner. Text mining was performed on comment cards for the first and second half of fiscal 2018 (April-July period and October-January period, once a week, 30 times in total), the first year of the reorganization, as a research method for this report, which is the fourth year report. As a result, we confirmed that changes in comments due to the department reorganization were not significant. Also, through the program, it was suggested that social skills derived from self-recognition from non-cognitive skills such as “self”, “feel”, and “think” are acquired. In other words, acquisition of a relationship with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s “power for learning/humanity” was suggested. In the future, we will continue our research with consideration of analysis methods, including comment data for the fall semester of 2017, relations with lecture content, and additional surveys by alumni.
