Distance Learning on the Web Using Blogs
―― Concerning Opening of Re-study Classes ――

Abstract
We have started a class for restudy program on the Web using blogs by distance learning
(teleteaching) at our university.　Four exercises were presented in the program and academic
credits were granted by passing the test.　Student opinions on the teleteaching were surveyed by
questionnaires distributed in the end of the program.　The results of this questionnaire and analysis
on the effect of the learning are reported herein.
Participating students apparently experienced little resistance with the teleteaching method as
many positive opinions were expressed in the questionnaire.　Eighty-two percent of the participating
students in the restudy program were able to secure their academic credits; those who had submitted
their responses to over 70% of the exercises were given the academic credits.　These results in
themselves lead us to think that the teleteaching approach for a restudy class requiring individual
guide was effective.　We expect that teleteaching will enable us to give improved support to our
student body.
