Functionalism and Universal-space, which have led the architecture and urban design in this century, have began to be criticized since the nineteen-seventies. Under the situation, several new designs and theories, for instance the Post-modernism etc. have attempted to overcome the so-called Modernism. But the new designs and theories have not won to get over the Modernism.
This paper reconsiders Rudolf Steiner's architecture-theory that has been forgotten behind the Modernism, for the purpose of discovering a clue to create a new and effective architectural design-theory.
The main theme and aim of Rudolf Steiner's architecture-theory is to have nature, human, society and architecture harmonize with each other, unify them and then bring about a harmonious development of the earth through creating the true spiritual, artistic architecture.
