Strelau (1972) has developed a temperament inventory (STI) to measure excitatory and inhibitory strength, the equilibrium of these processes, and the mobility of nervous processes. This method permits measurement of individual behavior in a variety of practical situations. The purpose of this study is to standardize the STI in to a Japanese version. On the basis of the data, mean scores, standard deviations and score distributions of Japanese version of STI are reported.
