Abstract |
In Investigation of classroom instruction for "expression" in nursery school teacher training (Suganuma, 2009), it was found that the application of eurhythmics techniques was helpful in improving the srudents' own ability to ecpress. Further, it was revealed that the srudents perceived the techniques to be instrumental in accepting children's expressions and sharing the joy of expressing with the children. Based on these results, the present study aims to examine the significace of students' presenting to audience other than their peers, focusing on the presentation to be given as a summary of learning in the course. In this study, a questionnaire survey on the students' perception of their presentation experience was conducted at three stages: (1) during the making of their presentation work, (2) after their presentation, and (3) after viewing of the video of their presentation. The results showed positive effects of learnig by experience in terms of affects, techniques, observation, flecibility, etc. Suggesting its relevence is vonsidered to be important for the students when they examine children's presentation behavior in actual nursery schools settings in the future. |
