In recent years, vehicles such as Hybrid Vehicle (HEV) and Electric Vehicle (EV) that are difficult to determine the starting state compared to conventional vehicles are increasing the number, and this is one of the causes of accidents for elderly drivers. In this research, we manufactured a device which is interlocked to the shift lever that informs the driver of the starting condition of the vehicle, and experimentally investigate how the driver recognizes the start of the vehicle. The results and the effects of the manufactured device are verified and reported.
