Abstract |
Various kinds of metals were exposed for half a year at three places in the Chugoku District in order to study corrosion on the surface of metals coused by atmospheric pollution. One place is at the Taisho traffic intersection of intense traffic density, in Kaita Town, Hiroshima Prefectuer, named "Place A". The second place is at our university, surrounded by green fields, trees and forests, named "Place B". The remainig one, near the Sea of Japan, in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture, named "Place C". The surface corrosion of copper, silver, and zinc specimens were observed by optical microscope, and on the surface of the elements detected by Scanning Electron Microscope with Energy Disppersive of X-ray. Silicon and aluminum were detected on the surface of the specimens at the "Place A" while sulfur and silicon were detected on the surface of the specimens at the "Place B". Chlorine element, silicon and aluminum were detected on the surface of the specimens at the "Place C", although the quantity of Cl element is much more than at the "Place A". The surface corrosion on the metals by atmospheric pollution is discussed in detail. 3種類の金属を大気中で暴露して,大気による表面腐食の研究を行った。暴露を行なった場所は,大気汚染が激しいと予想されるA地点(広島県安芸郡海田町大正交差点),大気汚染が比較的少ないと予想できるB地点(広島県広島市安芸区中野)及び大陸からの大気汚染物質の越境汚染と日本海からの塩害が発生していると予測されるC地点(鳥取県米子市博労町)である。この3地点で6ヶ月間暴露した場合のCu(4N)とAg(4N)とZn(4N+)を光学顕微鏡で表面を観察し,エネルギー分散型X線分析装置付走査電子顕微鏡で表面に付着した元素を分析した。その結果はA地点ではSiとAlが,B地点ではS元素とSiが,C地点ではSi,Cl元素とAlが顕著にあらわれた。本研究は,大気による金属の表面腐食への影響を詳細に考察した。 |
