本報告は、広島国際学院大学現代社会学部・社会学合同演習「現代社会にみる恋愛」の一環として、2008年6月21日（土）に広島国際学院大学立町キャンパスにて行なわれた公開講義「純化する愛、その不安」の概要である。本講義では、恋愛について社会学的な観点から講じた。主として、1）ロマンティック・ラブ・イデオロギーと恋愛結婚の誕生、2）「純粋な関係性」と「コンフルエント・ラブ」（A.Giddens 1992）、3）コンフルエント・ラブが導く関係の不確定性、以上三点について講じている。
受講者は、社会学にまったくなじみのない高校生や一般の方であったため、「恋愛チェックシート」（資料1）を作成し、講義の前に自らの恋愛観を振り返ってもらうという、最も身近なところから議論を出発させた。受講者一人一人が普段何気なく抱いている恋愛に関する様々な規範意識や感覚が、現代社会の成員の多くに共有されている社会意識であることを示し、そのことを通じて、通常は最も個人的で私的なものと考えられている感情が社会的･外的要因によって規定される側面を持つこと（E.Durkheim 1912）、もしくは自然で内発的なものであるとみなされている感情が社会的に決められた「感情規則」（A.Hochschild 1983）に沿う形で経験されていることに対する認識を促すことを目的とした。さらには、現代人に共有されている恋愛観や関係性の特徴、不安の来歴について講じることによって、社会規範や社会の在り方は常に「別様でもありうること」（N.Luhmann）を提示し、受講者自らが生きる社会を客観的に観察する契機となればとの期待をこめた。

This paper is the summary of open seminar “Purifying Love and Anxiety” at Hiroshima Kokusai Gakuin University on 21th June, 2008. In this seminar, I lectured on Love in late modern age from the viewpoint of sociology. That is to say, 1） romantic love ideology and the invention of love marriage, 2）“Pure relationship” and “Confluent Love”（A.Giddens 1992）, 3） contingency of relationship arisen from “Confluent Love”.
In this lecture, I try to show that feeling about love is not only private or personal one but also social. In other words, Man’s Feeling or emotion are regulated by “the social”（E.Durkheim 1912, A.Hochschild 1983）. Besides, Discussing the features of love, “pure relationship” and origins of anxiety today, I clarify the forms of love and social norm about love is essentially “contingent”（N.Luhmann 1982）. I hope for audience to gain sociological perception about love and above all “the social” through this lecture.
