Abstract

The change from print to electronic media enabled facile management of huge quantities of information, but the approach of information management has not been enough. This paper develops web interface for the system the authors have previously developed, which is capable to be easily operated for efficient management of electronic documents. The developed system simulates the condition of which all members of organization share document management by storing all electronic documents in one central integrated database. The proposed web interface provides tagging function with many different types for a part of an electronic document in the database. Besides, a mechanism to make possible to check, add, edit, and remove keywords in the dictionary for morphological analysis from user-side via web system was developed to improve the accuracy of tagging. The proposed system uses the original dictionary data constructed through the interaction between users and the system for not only accuracy improvement of tagging, but also efficient management of electronic documents. This paper mainly shows the operation example of the proposed system which has been used for sharing e-mail documents broadcasted for members of a society within the author's laboratory.
