Abstract

We have given our college students a fascinating lecture which covers broad area of modern
physics: quantum mechanics, semiconductor, magnetism, laser, superconductivity, big bang, and
particle physics. The emphasis is on understanding of the basic principles without an overload of
technical details, replacing some fundamental equations with physical insight. History of research
on superfluity and superconductivity is briefly shown.
