Abstract

Dynamic behavior of glass screen of low-rise steel frame building has been examined by microtremor observation, free vibration test and earthquake response observations. Natural frequencies and damping ratios for lower modes are also estimated by microtremor tests, free vibration tests and strong-motion earthquake measurements. Natural frequencies estimated by the large earthquake response are approximately 15?25% smaller than those estimated by microtremor observation and free vibration test. Amplitude dependent characteristics are slightly observed in estimated natural frequencies. Vibration characteristics during several lowlevel earthquake responses are estimated.
