Abstract

RF-ID technology can help automate automatic identification systems across a range of industries and grow the market increasingly. RF-ID smart labels can be electronically interrogated to reveal ID and other data. Furthermore, these transponders feature read/write updating so that the information from 2D map and the records to guide a mobile robot to a goal rapidly can be updated instantaneously. Especially they are small, lightweight, and can be laminated on the floor easily. In this paper, we propose a RF-ID system to assist a mobile robot and examine the feasibility of the proposed system.
