A Study on Restoring Force Characteristics of Box Column-to-H Shaped Beam Connections with Concrete Slab.

The cruciform specimens of the box column-to-H shaped beam connections with concrete slab were carried out under cyclic loading, and the plastic panel moments of the beam-to-column connections with concrete slab were estimated by the hinge line theory. The following conclusions were obtained. 1) The strength of the beam-to-column connection with concrete slab is increased under the influence of concrete slab. 2) The plastic panel moments of the beam-to-column connections with concrete slab estimated by the hinge line theory are good agreement with the experimental results. 3) The restoring force characteristics of the beam-to-column connections with concrete slab under cyclic loading are predicted by applying the kinematic hardening rule to the characteristics under monotonic loading.
