Abstract

Authors have been researching the optimum conditions of the asynchronous motor with solid rotors a few years ago. To attain this purpose, authors made asynchronous motors with rotor of the five sorts of materials, i. e., SS♯41, SS♯34, SS♯35C, cast iron and maleable cast iron, and four sorts of thickness. i. e. 5〔mm〕, 7〔mm〕, 10〔mm〕and 20 〔mm〕thickness. Owing to the experimental researches of above machines, authors have taken the following effects: (1) We knew optimum thickness of rotor sleeve in reference to the air-gap flux density. (2) We knew optimum output and efficiency upon thickness of rotor sleeve. (3) We knew that the air-gap length is important rather than the difference materials of rotors. In this paper, authors repart on the above experimental researches.
