The circumstancces in the change of the state of environment pollution, the legal system and organizations on the countermeasures for preventing pollution, the countermeasures of private enterprises and so on in Kitakyushu City were arranged as follows as the knowledges on the prevention of pollution. 1) Change of the state of invironment pollution such as atmosphere pollution, water quality Turbidity, noise and vibration, stink and so on in Kitakyusyu City 2) Relation of the change of industrial activities with the change of the quality of environment 3) As to the legal system, organizations and others on the state of occurrence of pollution and the countermeasures, ordering has been done by time series. 4) On the materialization and change of the administrative organizations that have carried out the countermeasures for environment preservation 5) On the important countermeasures reated to environment preservation and the cooperation system of industries and government 6) On the countermeasures related to environment preservation of private enterprises
