Abstract

In plasma physics, both the study of the thermonuclear fusion and of the basic theory are being actively carried on. Characteristics and diagnostics of plasma were reported in a previous paper. In our laboratory room, plasma aparatus has been designed for diagnostics in plasma physics at high temperatures. This paper describes the design of the θ-pinch device, which will be used for multipurpose experiments. The θ-pinch device can induce high temperaturs in plasma by means of a strong magnetic field.
