Abstract

The purpose of the present report is to make fundamental data for standardized flow in the two-dimensional pulsatile flow. The pulsatile flow of a viscous fluid through a two-dimensional channel (to be called two-dimensional Womersley's flow) is solved analytically. However, analytically solution of this flow has already been reported by M. Kawaguti et al. The pulsatile flow is characterized by the four non-dimensional flow parameters, the Reynolds number Re, the amplitude of oscillating flow rate dQ, the period of oscillation T (or frequency of oscillation f= 1/T) and the Womersley number α as a function of Re and f. In this report, particular attention is paid to the oscillating flow patern, so the velocity profiles of oscillating flow were presented for the range of Womersley number 1.25≦α≦39.63 with only the case of dQ=0.2.
