A Study of Trading Electricity in Microgrid

In this paper, we propose a trading method of electricity in a microgrid. A microgrid is an energy system formed by the interconnection of small, modular generation (micro-turbines, fuel cells, PV, etc), with storage device (flywheels, energy capacitors and batteries) and controllable loads at low-voltage distribution systems. The aim of this study is to develop the method which gains the largest profit in trading electricity in the microgrid. Therefore, a practical application of the proposed trading electricity algorithm to a model system was tested on power system network. Numerical results are used to demonstrate the effectiveness and performance of the proposed system.
