Abstract

In this report, experimental results on the electrical properties of atmospheric pressure glow discharge and the measurement of ozone density detected in the air flow from the glow plasma. Developed electrodes system composed of two stainless steel pipes set apart 0.3 mm in distance are excited by 60 Hz ac high voltage with air flowing through the pipes axially. Non-equilibrium plasma was generated between electrodes under the discharge condition, sustaining voltage of 200 V and discharge current 40 mA at air flow rate of 7.1 l/min. In the flowing air from the plasma, ozone molecules generated was detected and measured by ultra-violet light absorption method, which was estimated to be 0.1% of air at atmospheric pressure.
