GI newspaper called “Semper Fi”was published around the Iwakuni base in 1970’s.It dealt with not only anti-vietnam war but also anti-racism, anti-sexism, and the other problems like harassment of soldiers. We name the discussion space formed by Semper Fi the complex counter-public spheres. “Semper Fi” as the complex counter-public spheres had potential because various problems were discussed on the paper. |
