In this report is presented experimental results of micro-hollow cathode discharge in high pressure air to investigate the effect of gas flow on the discharge properties and plasma parameters such as breakdown voltage, current-voltage characteristics, gas temperature and electron temperature. Electrodes are made of 3mm thickness brass plate with a borehole of 0.8mm in diameter separated by ceramics disc of 1mm thickness as an insulator. Experiments were carried out in high pressure air up to 10kPa, discharge current up to 150mA, by optical emission spectroscopy to find electron temperatures and gas temperatures in the negative glow plasma produced in the micro-hollow cathode. Following results are obtained With the increase of the discharge current up to 150mA, electron temperature decreased from 2eV to 1eV, but gas temperature increased only a little due to gas flow. Comparison with results without gas flow, electron temperatures with gas flow are shifted toward high current region, similar to that of current-voltage characteristics.
